Why Travel Long-Term?
Nobody can convince you to travel. In fact, you wouldn’t even be reading this right now if you weren’t already interested in taking the leap in to long-term travel. Longer adventures afford more luxuries that short two to three week trips just do not allow. If the weather is bad, you can just leave. If you hear of a good place, you just go. It is as simple as that.
A more practical reason for long-term travel is simply time. It is far too common for people to look back upon their life and regret not traveling more when they could, and just as common as that is, is it equally uncommon for those who traveled to regret their choices.
One of the major milestones often sought out in long-term travel is traveling for one year. Expanding that out, one year is 52 weeks of constant travel. If your average vacation is 2 weeks per year, one long-term journey is like putting 26 years of vacation together at once. Not a bad ratio by any means.
What can you do when you compound 26 vacations down in to one year of travel? That is your decision as the world offers a number of destinations that could keep anyone busy for years upon years of constant travel. But as a start, the following photos are some of the great destinations around the world that you may choose to see in your time away.
The world is calling.
