Year after year, Jeremy Jones would head off and explore the world on short trips abroad during the only vacation time he had saved up.  One week in the Caribbean, a short weekend hiking in the Canadian Rockies, three and a half weeks in Europe, three weeks in Egypt and Jordan; the trips would end almost as fast as they began.

After looking back at how much was spent, he realized that most of it went to airfare just to get to and from his destination.  He thought there had to be a better way, and decided the following trip to Asia would be different.

So he began planning, and planning, and planning.  A dream two month trip suddenly ballooned out to a long-term adventure that ended up lasting over 150 days covering Japan to Singapore overland, with everything in between.

This long planning process gave birth to The Long-Term Travelers Guide, Jeremy’s first book and digital package, but certainly not the last.

Jeremy maintains several blogs including Living the Dream, documenting his travels through 34 countries around the world and rising; The International Food Project, recreating the world’s best dishes at home in true authenticity; and Free Travel Contests, a directory of current travel related contests on the internet. When not traveling, Jeremy is saving the world putting his Chemical Engineering degree to good use in many conservation applications.
